I began taking yoga classes at my gym in the fall of 1996 on the recommendation of my chiropractor. In the spring of 1998 I decided to sign-up for a yoga retreat at Hollyhock on Cortes Island. It was there that the indomitable Shirley Daventry French introduced me to Iyengar Yoga. I returned from the retreat and began taking Iyengar Yoga classes with Vicky Catchpole and continued learning from her for a number of years. More recently, I have been interested in investigating yoga through studying the Anatomy Trains of Thomas Myers and the practice of Yoga Nidra. I have also learned so much and have had so much support in my yoga studies from a wonderful online yoga community - yogalila.
